"Let Your Light Shine" CS Lewis 16x20
I was struck by the quote from C.S. Lewis that says, “Don’t shine so others can see you. Shine so that through youothers can see Him.” I created this piece because we all need to be reminded of this truth. Reminded around our homes and throughout our day to shine brightly (in love, humility, friendship, etc..) for the Lord so they see a glimpse of Him in us. “In the same way, let your light [love] shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16). The world and culture say look at me, look what I have done or am doing. They seek to glorify and want to make a name for themselves. When in fact we should seek to make God’s Name great. There is beauty and transformation in that heart perspective switch. Enjoy!
