Do You Need a Blood Transfusion?
One day the Holy Spirit kept bringing the old hymn, “Nothing but the Blood” to my heart. I played that song over and over as I created this piece because I knew I needed the cleansing blood of Christ. I needed a blood transfusion. 1John 1:7b says, “and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.”
Sin creeps in and clogs our spiritual veins. The blood’s purpose is to supply essential nutrients and remove waste as it circulates through our body.
People need a physical transfusion when they experience serious injuries or illnesses. The donated blood provides potentially life-saving ability to the individual.
How much more can the blood of Christ heal and restore our broken relationship with Him.
The heart is the operating system, hence the gears within the heart. There is forgiveness, power, healing and redemption in the blood flowing into the heart, and there is praise flowing out.
The aged clocks show the passage of time while the white background is reminiscent of Isaiah 1:18: “Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.”
