Hebrew Letter Tet
Containers were a very important part of daily life. They were used for storing grain, tools, food, housewares and various other items.
The snake similarly surrounds its prey, forming a constricting coil until it’s dead. This letter itself has a duality of positive (good, purity) and negative (evil, impurity) to it.
In creation, the letter Tet is seen in the word Tov טוֹב #2896, which means good. Genesis 1:4 (ESV) says, “And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness.” This word is used various times throughout the Creation story, in that God makes a distinction between good and evil.
The duality of the letter represents the two possibilities of man. (See Psalm 51:6 & Psalm 58:3)
The womb of a woman is like a container, in harmony with the Creator producing life (Psalm 139:13). The formation of life seen within the concealed darkness of the womb. The gestational period of pregnancy is 9 months. Childbirth appears bad and is a painful process, yet it is good because it brings forth life.
This Holy Seed of Light that God in His goodness sent to die for our sins. 1 John 4:9 says, “This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.”
