Hebrew Letter Aleph

The Ox is a strong work animal, and very important in the rural economy of the Jews. Jesus says, “Take my yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matt. 11:29.

Jesus the Messiah is a picture of the God-Man unity found in the Aleph, connecting the upper realm of heaven and the lower realm of humanity and the oneness found in the Father and Son.

The strong outstretched arms of Jesus on the cross for our behalf, represent that divine bridge of reconciliation and redemption of humanity to the Father. This is seen in Phil. 2:6,7 “who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men” and John 17:21, “that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”

Jesus says, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” Revelation 22:13. It is interesting to note that in the Orthodox Jewish Bible the same verse is worded this way,  “I am the Aleph and the Tav, HaRishon (The First) and HaAcharon (The Last), HaReshit (The Beginning) and HaTachlit (The Ultimate).” Hisgalus 22:13 (OJB). This verse is a direct reference to Isaiah 41:4, 44:6, and 48:12.
